Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the site visitor is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
This is also our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 f) GDPR. Google has submitted to the Privacy Shield agreement concluded between the European Union and the USA and is certified. Google thereby undertakes to comply with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. Further information can be found in the following linked entry:

As a result, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Google Ads (formerly Google Adwords)

Our website uses the online advertising program “Google Ads” (formerly known as Google AdWords) from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) and, as part of Google Ads, conversion tracking and the re-marketing function.

Google Ads places a cookie on your device if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 60 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Google Ads customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Google Ads customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

We also use the re-marketing function. For this purpose, Google Ads places a cookie on your device that allows third-party providers – including Google – to recognize that you have visited our website with your browser. With the help of this knowledge, our ads can later be presented to you on third-party sites, provided they are integrated into the Google network.

Google Ads works across devices if you have a Google account and allow your account to be linked to your web and app browsing history in the settings. However, this is only the case if you have not deactivated the setting for the use of information for ad personalization in your Google account. You can find the corresponding setting at https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated. By doing so, you allow ads relevant to you, which were created according to your usage via a specific device, to be displayed even if you access our website from another device. For this purpose, a Google-authenticated ID is linked to your Google account.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also reject the setting of a cookie required for this, e.g. in your browser setting, which can generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. Link: Download and install available browser plugin: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. If you specifically do not wish to participate in the conversion tracking process, you can explicitly deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”. Google’s privacy policy on conversion tracking can be found at https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. You can find further information on the subject of “data protection” in connection with Google at https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.
